KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia is offering its streamyx GradPack package, which targets college and university students, until Dec 31.

Subscribers will enjoy broadband service at a lower rate, as well as receive some free goodies, according to the telecommunications giant.

GradPack offers two Internet service packages � 384Kbps (kilobits per second) for RM50 a month or 1Mbps (megabit per second) for RM100 monthly.

The students who subscribe will get a free modem, and a streamyx Zone ID which grants them wireless access at more than 1,300 hotspots nationwide.

TM is also waiving its RM75 activation and RM88 installation fees for GradPack users.

Also, subscribers of the 1Mbps package will get access to music portal Hypptunes, video service HyppTV and the Rose Online Evolution massively multiplayer online role-playing game for three months.

In addition to that, they will get a TM�Manchester United special-edition T-shirt for free.

Students who want to subscribe to GradPack must present their student ID at any TMpoint, TMpoint Authorised Dealership (TAD) outlet, or TM authorised reseller nationwide.

When you first hear the term internet addiction, you may smile and think this new term is a joke. Okay, so maybe people do waste a lot of time on the internet. But how can that be such a bad thing?

Yet, internet addiction can be a serious problem. Like many addictions, it is a compulsive disorder. First, take the word addiction itself. Addiction means that you are dependent on something, it is taking up a lot of your time. Now think about the time one can waste on the internet. Okay, so an hour here and there isn't a bad thing. But if a person is addicted to the internet they will be online longer than just an hour and it won't just be an event that happens occasionally, being online is something they do daily for hours on end. This addiction can lead to time away from family and friends. It can even led to time that should be spent at work.

Internet addiction can be further explained into subcategories, too. One may not just be addicted to the internet. One can get addicted to certain activities that perform while on the internet such as: online auctions, online chat rooms, online surfing, online gaming, and this addiction can even led to more serious online problems such as online gambling and online cybersex.

How do you know if you have a problem? You should start by looking at your internet habits. Then ask yourself such questions as: How often are you online? Does being online ever interfere with your work or home duties and if so how often does it? How often do you check your email? Do people in your home complain about how often you are online? Do you continue to search out new online friends? When you are not online do you anticipate when you can go back online? Do you get annoyed when someone interrupts you while you are online? Do you loose sleep because you are online late at night? Do you ever hide the length of time you were online?

The answer to the above questions can indicate that you have a problem. If you think you do, what should you do? Like with any other health problem, you may want to consider counseling. If you can't afford counseling, you may want to check out some websites that offers some help.

It may seem strange that there are websites that help with online addiction. Yet, if you think about it online websites may be the best place for online addiction sufferer to seek help. A great site is netaddiction.com. At this site, they further explain what online addiction is. They also have online self tests you can take, to see if you have a problem and to see just how deep your problem is. They also offer advice for more serious online problems such as online gambling and online cybersex activities. They even have chat rooms where recovering addicts and family members of recovering addicts can come together and share.

Should one avoid the internet for fear of getting addicted, no? The internet is a wonderful tool. You can learn a lot online. Plus, it is a great place to just relax and have fun. But moderation is the key in any activity, including the internet.

Parents should also monitor their children to make sure that they are not becoming addicted to the internet. Some children, especially teenagers, have problems building friendships and relationships. You don't want your child's only friendships to be on the internet.

The internet and your online friends should not take the place of real life and real life people. If you remember that one sentence, you will continue to enjoy the internet in a healthy way.

One of my greatest discoveries was using DVDs to teach my children French. Simply by using the "French Language" option on our "Finding Nemo" DVD, we were able to review our French vocabulary in an incredibly fun way. We quickly expanded to other Disney movies and, when they got older, even into non-animated films. Now I hear that there is ANOTHER great way to study foreign languages -- by playing Xbox games! Did you know that you can play some video games in a foreign language?

John Nordlinger is a senior research manager for Microsoft Research in gaming efforts. He wanted a refresher on his French, so he started playing "EverQuest" -- the multiplayer online role-playing game -- in that language. The strategy worked, Nordlinger said, but he added that researchers don't completely understand why.

"When people play games, there is some sort of state they get into," he said. "Nobody has really studied whether or not the brain is more receptive to learning complex concepts when you're in that state. People assume that is the case."

What a fabulous idea! That would have been a PERFECT fit for my kids! I'm planning on telling Alex the idea today, because he is still taking French in college. He did watch "Finding Nemo" in French to prepare himself for this quarter. I was pleased that he remembered our homeschool strategies. Imagine his delight when he learns that he can study with video games! Just another great "out of the XBox" idea for learning a new language!

When you come up with your campaign, you need to make sure that your keywords are relevant. "Make money" may seem like a relevant keyword for internet marketing, but it may not be relevant if your person is looking for a e-book on internet marketing. "Internet Marketing e-book" would be a relevant key word group.

If you are going to use an ad campaign, you need to make sure your keyword group has relevance. Keep it to no more than 25 keywords. Anything more and your ad group risks losing relevance. Make sure the ad attached to the keywords is relevant to the keywords and the product.

Next, you need to make sure your landing page has relevance. Back to the e-book on internet marketing. Your landing page should be key word rich, but not grossly so...the page should read naturally. And then make sure the content is rich with meaningful information. Maybe the e-book page has a great review on it outlining all the benefits of the book. Remember, you are preselling, getting your reader ready to buy.

Lastly, make sure that your product is very relevant to the customer!

Xbox 360 is a video game console from Microsoft introduced in the year 2005. Now, the console is been reported with hardware problems called as the red light error. New technology such as the Ipod can add a huge amount of enjoyment to your day in many ways, whether it is easing the boredom of your train ride home from work or even making that early morning jog that much easier to complete. However all new technologies will come with some problems, the most common of these being the ease of use to the owner. Nothing could be more annoying than having this great piece of technology and not be able to take advantage of its features due to a lack of detailed instructions in how to use it. One of the most common problems people run into is exactly how to download music into your Ipod.
I must admit I did have some trouble downloading music from my computer to my Ipod when I first got it, so once I had it all figured out I thought a quick guide on how to download music into your Ipod would probably be quite appreciated. I hope this guide makes your Ipod experience that much easier and more enjoyable.

So the first step is obviously having music on your computer because there is no use in learning how to download music into your Ipod if Dialup dont actually have any music in the first place. Music, usually in the form of mp3 files, can be obtained via various methods, either by downloading them from a subscriber site or converting your cd collection to mp3 via a conversion program. Once you have found the desired file, make sure you choose the Video Ipod/ Sony PSP download option. This is simply to ensure that you get the correct file type to be watched on your Ipod. Then you'll need to download the file to a place on your computer, it is best to create a folder called Ipodfiles or something similar so you will know exactly where they are. If of course you are using conversion software to convert your cd collection then the software will lead you through the process.

Once you have your music or movie on your computer, it is then time to connect your Ipod to your computer via its USB cord. On most computers there is a USB port at the front of the computer, otherwise it will be at the back just below where you plug in your keyboard and mouse.

Open the Apple iTunes application. Select 'Add File to Library' from the 'File' menu in the iTunes application. Browse your computer for the song you previously downloaded and click 'Open.' Then Click 'Edit,' then click 'Preferences in the iTunes application. Once that is done click the 'Ipod' tab, then click 'Songs,' and then 'Automatically update all Songs.' Lastly, you should click 'OK.'

This is where Apples ITunes software really comes into its own, as it will do all the work for you from this point on. It will automatically download all the music onto your Ipod for you, then all you need to do is select the file in your Ipod and you'll be good to go.

If all instructions above have been followed correctly you should now know how to download music into your Ipod and listen to it. As you can see, it is not a complicated process and you should be able to achieve this quite easily.

As mentioned above, one of the most important parts of this process is picking the right subscriber site. The wrong one will not have the selection you desire, and could end up costing you more than you are willing to pay if it charges download fees.
